MDA TRANSQUEST VIEWED AT 12TH NATIONAL HIPAA SUMMIT
Automated Wireless Patient Transport Dispatch System

Woodbridge, VA – April 13, 2006. Recently, MDA Technologies, formally introduced its automated wireless patient transport dispatch system, MDA TransQuest locally, at the two day, 12th National HIPAA Summit and CCBH Learning Forum held at the Hyatt Regency Capital Hill in Washington, D.C.

“The Summit allowed us to meet face to face with CFOs, senior administrators and other decision makers in the medical industry. Their interest in MDA TransQuest was enthusiastic, and many attendees indicated they were eager to discuss the MDA TransQuest transport system with others at their hospital or medical center” said Al Maxey, Vice President, MDA Technologies.

Hospitals and other medical facilities are looking for low-cost ways to be more efficient. With the MDA TransQuest, transport requests are entered on the hospital intranet. These requests along with pertinent patient information are received by transporters equipped with a standard wireless Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) system. A transporter accepts a dispatch and completes the task. All transport data is recorded while the system remains available to other transporters.

The wireless system automatically prioritizes and schedules transport requests; improves the accuracy of pick-up times; and automatically assigns requests to the next available transporter, eliminating dedicated transport dispatch personnel and freeing them up for other duties.
